You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.
– Zig Ziglar
Take a second to think about someone you look up to. You think about their accomplishments, their highlight reel. What you don’t think about is their life before the success, their behind the scenes.
They were once afraid of the failures that come with starting, just like you. But they didn’t let that fear stop them from making something great out of their life. They went on, despite their inner-critic. And now, you know their name, their interests, their best works.
So, stop listening to your inner-critic. Forget hesitation and just start! Begin by taking one step toward your goal, and take comfort in knowing that you’re one step closer than you were before. Starting, after all, is the hardest part.
Just do it, because the person you look up to was once a beginner, too.
